Once you find that sweet spot, you don’t want to mess with it and start brewing French press or pour over. It’s pretty hard work to dial in a grinder, and find the perfect setting for espresso. If you want to do espresso well, you’ll need a dedicated espresso grinder. They usually don’t go fine enough to grind for espresso, or maybe they lack adjustability in the finer range (which is really important). Most entry-level grinders are designed with French press and drip coffee in mind. I want a grinder that can grind for both espresso as well as pour over.
